The heavy leather hides shown here are all HERMANN OAK LEATHER sides and backs in, thicknesses from 8 ounce to 11+ ounces (most belts you would find on the market are around 7 to 8 ounce leather. The leather hides below these are also HERMANN OAK LEATHER sides and backs in finnished English and Western bridle leather ,in mostly 9 to 10 ounce thickness. We use all HERMANN OAK LEATHER because it tools very well and dyes better than most other leathers.
